Vighnesh is a civil engineer by background with over a decade’s experience in UK built environment research and innovation landscape. Starting out with academia and moving to industry, Vighnesh has successfully launched award winning products and consultancy services in the built environment.
Trained through the UK government’s flagship Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme with Queen’s University Belfast, commercialisation of research is his forte. One of his key success stories was the release of the first award winning commercial self-healing concrete in the UK (Sensicrete) powered by bacteria wherein he established IP protection, exploitation and secured licensing terms with international partners.
As an ex-Director of Innovation and Sustainable Construction, he specialises in “scaling the edge” of the business with early product validation and route to market working with incumbents and investors around the world.
